Sleep Position & Dreaming Linked

The scientists from the University of Hong Kong believe that the plot of dreams depends on the sleep position of a person.

Thus, those who sleep on their stomach see erotic dreams more often.

The current study involved 670 students. The volunteers talked about their sleep positions and described the dreams they saw more often. It was found that those who slept on their stomach often had dreams of sexual content and nightmares. Perhaps, this is because such a position makes the person’s breathing more difficult. The brain then responds by seeing either erotic or frightening images (the latter arise in case of feeling persecution and stiffness).

In general, the experts say that every 10th dream we see is about sex.
